Develop transferable, future-ready skills

Critical and creative thinking are transferable, future-ready skills. They underpin the development of other vital skills and capabilities such as communication, collaboration and empathy.

The following programs have improved student outcomes for over 10 years.

There are co-designed with University of Queensland experts and other industry partners.

Critical Thinking is the foundational program. Your students' capabilities are then enhanced by intersecting critical and creative thinking with entrepreneurial thinking, media literacy, philosophy, creative writing, mathematics and science.

University of Queensland partnership

The IMPACT Centre is a world leader in the development of critical and creative thinking skills for school-age students, teachers and school leaders.

The University of Queensland Critical Thinking Project (UQCTP) and IMPACT Centre teams have co-designed and co-delivered highly successful critical and creative thinking programs to over 15,000 primary and secondary school students across Queensland since 2012.

These programs have resulted in the transfer of these skills to general life, classroom learning and assessments, and increased relative gains and Upper 2 Band results for students in NAPLAN reading, writing and numeracy tests.
