Marine Zone Years 7-10

UNIFY Series Years 7-10

Course Information

Marine Zone transforms your students into citizen scientists. These citizen scientists develop a rich understanding of the purpose and process of scientific inquiry and mathematical investigation as they examine the ecology of the Moreton Bay catchment area.

This program includes a high quality research voyage on-board Inspiration with Moreton Bay EEC. The voyage costs an additional $35 per student and the school or students also need to pay for transport to and from Manly Harbour, east of Brisbane.

Note: Schools who cannot travel to Manly Harbour can still participate in this course. Please contact the IMPACT Centre to find out more.

Target Group

Teacher judgement and student interest in the topic should assist selection. Some schools use this project as an opportunity to extend mid-to-high achieving students and to build staff capability.
